Steve started work on Rooted in Reading in 2008, the UK National Year of Reading. From a small start with just the original green passport the range has now grown to cater for readers of all ages. Steve has put in countless hours packing boxes, carting passports to conferences and dealing with endless administration because he believes strongly in the beneficial impact that increased reading for pleasure can have on young people, their families and society as a whole.
Steve is always happy to answer any questions people may have about the project. He can advise on which is the best passport to use with a particular group of children, how passports follow on from each other and how to use Rooted in Reading to develop a whole school reading community. Because this project has been his passion for so long he will take the time to answer your questions and to ensure your orders are dealt with efficiently.
